Cooper Marsh Arts & Recreation Festival
On Saturday, March 13th and Sunday, March 14th from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., come and enjoy the talents, treasures and outdoor activities at Cooper Marsh Conservation Area and Visitor’s Centre. Visual artists Jacqueline Milner, Gilles Ruest and Stephany Hildebrand will be featured along with model artists Dave Switzer and Terry Gibbs. Painters on hand will include Kim Bauersfeld, Santos Pena and Wolfe Girardin as well as blacksmith Albert Renaud, along with Exotic Orchids of Green Valley. Recreational activities include the Enviro-Quest game. Follow a map taking you along the boardwalk to question stations. Answer enough questions correctly and be awarded a certificate. A festival for children of all ages. There is something for everyone!
Buy Raffle tickets at the event with a chance to win cash prizes of $50.00, $150.00, & $250.00. Advance raffle tickets can be purchased at Sculptures Hair Studio and Laura’s Flowers Gifts in Cornwall or G.P. Deli & Bakery in Lancaster. A silent auction and various contests will contribute even more to the festivities. All proceeds from this event will support enhancements to the boardwalks at Cooper Marsh.
Admission is FREE!
Cooper Marsh Conservation Area and Visitor’s Centre, located on County Road # 2 west of Lancaster can be accessed from Highway 401. Take exit 814 onto County Road # 2 and proceed 3 kilometers to the main entrance.
